Tracy Olson

6th Grade

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education and Bilingualism in Spanish, I began teaching for the Waterford Graded School District.  While there, I taught kindergarten, first grade, math intervention, English as a Second Language and fourth grade.  I have been teaching at St. Joseph's since 2014.

Every child can learn.  Quite often, learning a new concept does not happen on the first try.  As a teacher, it is my job to determine the most useful strategy to help a child learn.

Students also need to be held accountable for their learning goals.  When students, parents, and I know where we are headed, we are all able to focus and accomplish the goal at hand.

I look forward to helping the students in my class accomplish not only their academic goals, but their personal goals as well.

At home, my husband Adam and I enjoy our two children, Isaac and Isabelle.  Together we enjoy being outside, traveling, and watching cooking shows.
