Lynda Eicher

8th Grade

Hi! I am Lynda Eicher and I have been teaching at St. Joe’s since 2013. I started as the middle school 6th grade homeroom teacher and am now the 8th grade teacher as well as social studies teacher. I graduated from Carroll College in 2006 with my degree in Elementary Education. I entered teaching later in life after spending numerous hours volunteering at Rose Glen Elementary where my son attended grade school, and realizing that I wanted to be a member of a strong learning community. I was a bookseller at Barnes and Noble for 10 years prior to college and during my education, and still continue my strong love of books, reading and learning.

I have a special love for middle school and enjoy spending my days with these special young people. I like to use technology in my lessons as much as possible and teach our young people the Christian values woven throughout this great school through all the subjects I teach. I strive to be firm but fair, but at the same time have fun and laugh.

In my spare time, I love to visit the northwoods of Wisconsin, and that is evident in my classroom, which I have designed with a cabin theme. I also love to bike, craft, sew, read and watch the Packers. My husband of 25 years is a magazine editor and writer and our only son, Chris, is now attending UW-Milwaukee.
